Four Star Light Truck and Commerical Truck Remanufactured Diesel Engine Warranty

	The Limited Warranty covers all engines and engine components.
	This warranty is extended to the original purchaser only and is not transferable or reassignable.
	The warranty period starts from the day/mileage of original installation. Repairs or replacements do not extend the warranty period.
	Gaskets are not warranted unless they are part of the original assembly. This includes purchased gasket sets.
	Oil, oil filter, antifreeze and frost plug heaters will be covered for a 30-day or 1,000-mile period from installation.
	Defective parts must be returned (unless otherwise authorized).
	FourStar / DMC reserves the right to refuse/charge back parts and labor claims if no apparent manufacturing defect in workmanship or materials is verified during inspection of the FourStar / DMC product.
	Product must be complete in a condition to be fully analyzed. Damage by environmental conditions may affect warranty credit on products.
	Failure to maintain proper odometer operation throughout the period shall void the warranty.
	Failure to provide maintenance records may result in void of warranty.
	Parts damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, modification, misapplication, shipping or improper maintenance may void the warranty.
	The addition or modification of a turbo charger may cause a void in warranty.
FourStar / DMC considers the following criteria to constitute an authorized diesel warranty repair facility:
1. Any certified OEM truck service center;
2. Fleets with ASE-certified technicians; or
3. Service facilities with ASE- or ADS-certified technicians whose business routinely includes service of diesel engines.
FourStar / DMC shall not in any case be liable for special incidental or consequential damages arising from breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence or any other legal theory. Damages include, but are not limited to: loss of profits, loss of use of engine assembly, transmission, engine component or other associated parts, substitute assemblies, downtime and transportation expenses.
This Warranty allocates the risk of product failure between FourStar / DMC and the purchaser as authorized by the Uniform Commercial Code and other applicable laws. This Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, whether oral, written, expressed or implied. No warranty or merchantability or fitness for particular use shall apply. The distributors, agents, dealers and employees of FourStar / DMC are not authorized to make modifications to this Warranty or additional warranty binding on FourStar / DMC and should not be relied upon.
	ENGINE-ONLY PROVISIONS
	Maximum $400.00 labor reimbursement for engines used in agricultural, industrial and stationary applications.
	No labor will be paid on private owner-installed applications.
	Labor reimbursement will be based on standard chassis time up to a maximum of $400.00 on Class A Motor Homes.
	Repairs or replacements:
1. Parts furnished by Dealers Manufacturing Co. at cost
2. Parts furnished by independent shops at cost
3. Parts furnished by franchised OEM dealers at cost
	OE flat rates may be obtained from: Ford, CAT, Chilton, Motor or Mitchell Flat Rate Manuals.
	Labor reimbursement is paid at the prevailing shop rate in your region X (times) the OE standard time if 100% labor is offered on the engine. If labor is covered during the second year, the OE standard X (times) the prevailing shop rate in your region will be the maximum reimbursement.
	Warranty void by unauthorized breakage or tampering with injection pump and/or waste gate seals.
	ENGINE COMPONENTS-ONLY PROVISION
	The following provision applies to component parts included on complete drop-in engines:
